2020 Corvette C8 Price and Review – Performance Capabilities

It’s been a long time coming, and Chevrolet is finally releasing a Corvette with a mid-engine instead of the traditional front-engine layout. The vehicle is using the new LT2 engine, the successor to the small-block LT1 utilized in the previous generation C7. The 6.2L V8 LT2 is able to reach up to 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, giving it one hell of a kick. Reportedly, with the option Z51 performance package, the 2020 Stingray will be able to do 0-60 mph in fewer than three seconds.

Every model of the 2020 C8 is equipped with an automatic dual-clutch eight-speed transmission, and we know that there’s a group of drivers out there with shocked expressions on their faces. That’s right; for the first time in quite a long time, you won’t be able to get a new Corvette that includes a manual transmission. Nevertheless, the powerful dual-clutch transmission offers excellently smooth shifting and allows the vehicle to perform at a new level when it comes to acceleration. Plus, there are paddle shifting options for those out there who truly insist on being able to shift yourself.

The C8 is introducing some changes when it comes to suspension as well, getting rid of the old custom setup that were using for awhile and switching to more conventional monotube shocks and coilover springs. There’s little doubt that this vehicle is going to handle like a dream, and we truly cannot wait to get our hands on one and drive it around the countryside for a while.

Here’s a bird’s eye view of the 2020 Corvette Stingray, or C8. It’s impossible to deny it brings a new flair to an already stylish design.

2020 Corvette C8 Price and Review – Interior Design and Features

Just as important as the performance a vehicle is capable of are the interior features that you’ll find to keep you comfortable and will enhance your ride. Those of you thinking about upgrading to the C8 are in luck, as there are a ton of awesome features available inside. The interior of the vehicle has been redesigned to impart a sleeker and more professionally-made look, getting rid of the ugly plastic that many drivers complained about in previous iterations of the vehicle. There’s a little bit more room than in previous years (about an inch), and there are two smaller trunks available instead of the larger single trunk from previous Corvettes.

This Corvette does include a nice touchscreen that is even tilted towards the driver for better accessibility. As you would expect, the Stingray features a removable roof which packs easily into one of the trunks so you can enjoy the weather when it’s called for. There are three different seating options you’ll be able to choose from, and the vehicle features a newly-designed two-spoke steering wheel, meant to be small and unobtrusive while offering precise handling.

You’ll have access to all the latest audio entertainment capabilities, allowing you to connect your mobile device to your car and listen to your favorite music, books or podcasts wherever you go. The large digital instrument cluster gives you easy access to all the important information pertaining to your Corvette, and you’ll be able to choose between the standard 10-speaker sound system or an upgraded 14-speaker setup.

As with any new vehicle, there are an abundance of options you can choose from on the inside, specifically six with this new Corvette: Jet Black, Adrenaline Red, Natural/Natural Dipped, Two-Tone Blue, Sky Cool Grey, and lastly Morello Red. Each of these interior design options offers a different style, allowing you to cater the vehicle to your own personal tastes.
