It’s been a long time coming, and Chevrolet is finally releasing a Corvette with a mid-engine instead of the traditional front-engine layout. The vehicle is using the new LT2 engine, the successor to the small-block LT1 utilized in the previous generation C7. The 6.2L V8 LT2 is able to reach up to 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, giving it one hell of a kick. Reportedly, with the option Z51 performance package, the 2020 Stingray will be able to do 0-60 mph in fewer than three seconds.

Every model of the 2020 C8 is equipped with an automatic dual-clutch eight-speed transmission, and we know that there’s a group of drivers out there with shocked expressions on their faces.
