Off-Road Group in Joliet

Off-roading is fun, and if you haven’t tried it, we suggest you give it a shot. We think anyone can find it to be enjoyable. That’s why we sell such a large selection of vehicles capable of engaging in that activity. One way to make it more fun is off-roading with a group. But if you don’t have a few buddies capable of going, what do you do? Thankfully, there’s an off-road group in Joliet.

About the Joliet Mud Turtles

The Joliet Mud Turtles is a family oriented off-road club. They welcome a variety of people into their club, from the beginner to expert; from everyday truck to dedicated mudding machine. They have scheduled meetings at Cliff’s Insane Terrain in Marseilles, IL and  sometimes will make the trip down to the Badlands in Attica, IN.

Joliet Mud Turtles Events

The Joliet Mud Turtles have one big annual event known as the Mud Blast. The Mud Blast is part of Joliet Father’s Day Route 66 Car Show Festival. The event has an obstacle course and two mud pits for participants. One of the pits is made for stock vehicles, but there’s also a deep pit for trucks up to the challenge.

Philanthropic Activities

Since the Joliet Mud Turtles uses Cliff’s as its  home park, they’re allowed certain perks by the owners — like camping at no extra cost. They do, however, contribute quite a bit to the park. They work to repair and add fences, maintain the trails, and recover stuck customers. The club also engages in charity events like the annual Toys for Tots events at The Badlands Off Road Park.

If you’re interested in off-roading but don’t have the proper gear, then come on over to Ultimate Rides. We offer the best selection of cars, trucks, and SUVs in the Joliet area — and specialize in vehicles that handle just as well off road as they do on it.
