Best Lift Kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Are you interested in taking your Jeep off-road? You’ll likely want to get it set up with plenty of useful accessories and modifications, including a quality lift kit. Check out this guide to find the best lift kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited models!

1. Zone Offroad 4″ Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Full Suspension Lift Kit (ASIN – B018TBGXVQ)

Compatibility: JK

The first lift kit we’d like to share comes from a manufacturer called Zone Offroad. It’s a four inch full suspension kit, allowing you to fit on tires up to 35 inches. This is an excellent lift to outfit on a Wrangler Unlimited JK if you’re planning on heading off-road. It won’t have a negative effect on your factory ride, but will make all the difference when it comes to off-road performance. Before buying, it is important to note that you will not have the ability to reinstall the factory wheels after installing this kit. This is because of rear sway bar link interference. However, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue, because who won’t want to get their new larger wheels put on right away?

2. TeraFlex 1251000 2.5″ Lift Kit (ASIN – B006D9W95G)

Compatibility: JK

Up next in our second slot, we’ve got a 2.5 inch kit from Teraflex. This coil spring lift kit comes with plenty of items you’ll need, such as shock absorbers, bump stop extension, rear sway bar links and more. Using this kit on your Wrangler Unlimited, you’ll be able to fit wheels up to 35 inches. However, they must include at least 4.5 inches of backspacing in order to fit. Though we feel that this is an excellent lift kit, if you own a JKU Wrangler from 2012 onward that features an extended shock length of 24.5 inches, you will need to invest in a set of exhaust spacers to get everything to line up correctly. Other than those compatibility issues, this is one of the best lift kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited SUVs.

3. Rough Country 2.5″ Suspension Lift Kit (ASIN – B0777YVQWL)

Compatibility: JK

If you have experience in vehicle lift kits, you’ve probably heard of Rough Country. They are one of the most prominent manufacturers out on the market. They have their detractors, but we believe they’re one of the best budget lift kit producers. With this kit, you’ll get a 2.5 inch lift on your Wrangler Unlimited, and the recommended tire size is 33 inches. This kit also offers simple bolt-on installation, which should only take a few hours if you’ve got experience. When you’re finish getting this kit installed on your Jeep, you should also find that the front and rear suspension are even. We feel confident that you’ll be happy with this kit, especially considering its appealing price.

4. TeraFlex 3” Lift Suspension System w/ 4 Sport Flexarms, Track Bar, 9550 VSS Shocks (ASIN – B07RQ8W25N)

Compatibility: JK

Our next lift kit is another option from TeraFlex, and this time it’s a three inch kit with plenty of accessories. While you will once again have to get a set of aftermarket wheels that are the right size, this kit is worth it (and you’re gonna want a larger set anyways). This is one of the pricier full suspension lift kits on our list, but it has a lot to offer. It’s reliable, but worth remembering that installation might be a lot for someone who doesn’t have a ton of experience in this yet. However, it’s one of the best lift kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited despite the price, and it will be worth getting someone to install it for you.

5. Superlift Suspension K176 4″ Lift Kit (ASIN – B07LBC1BP7)

Compatibility: JL

The lift kit in our number five slot is for the newer generation of Wranglers, known as the JL. It’s a four inch kit that includes everything you’ll need for its bolt-on installation. It’s also meant to help make sure your vehicle’s suspension is level, which is always a plus. It has N3 shock absorbers, an X-Flex control arm, and awesome flex joints all included in this package. We’d definitely recommend this kit if it fits your price range, as it does a fantastic job for your vehicle. If you own a newer Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, this is one of the better kits for you.

6. TeraFlex 1355200 Budget Boost (ASIN – B006D9WDTS)

Compatibility: JK

If you’re looking for a good set of spacers to lift up your Wrangler JK, check out this next option from TeraFlex. With this kit, you’ll be able to raise the height of your Wrangler by 2.5 inches. While this isn’t the biggest boost you’ll find out there, it’s great for this kind of budget. It’s also a very good way to get started modifying your vehicle, without going too deep in on your first try. You’ll be able to outfit your vehicle with tires up to 35 inches, but they’ll each need 4.5 inches of backspacing in order to install. If you’re in the market for a cheaper kit, this is truly one of the best lift kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Best Lift Kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Buying Guide

Were you able to pick out a lift kit that matches your needs? We hope you were! However, it’s impossible to cover everything in a single list, so you may need to venture off on your own to find what you’re looking for. In today’s buying guide, we hope to provide you with some useful tips that should make picking up your next lift kit a breeze. Let’s get started.

First, you must always make sure to buy a kit that will fit your vehicle. If you’re looking for the best lift kit for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited models, you have to make sure you specifically get a kit that’s built for the four-door option. It can be pretty easy to forget that while shopping, but it will save you a whole lot of time and stress down the line if you remember. Along with that, you need to pay attention to which generation of Wrangler you’re buying for. The most recent gen is the JL, and the one before that is the JK. The JL kicked off with the 2018 model year, if that’s any help to you.

Next it’s a matter of figuring out which lift size suits your needs. You could go as low as an inch or two, or go all the way up to something like 4-6 inches. The higher you raise your suspension, the larger size tires you’ll be able to fit on. Of course, the higher you go, the more you are going to have to shell out. However, in our opinion, it’s well-worth the extra cost. At the end of the day, it’s all a matter of preference.

Type of Lift Kit

Finally, the last decision to make is what type of lift kit you want. There are different varieties that each have different strengths, such as a full suspension lift kit versus a set of spacers. In general, the more you spend on a kit, the more it’s going to achieve for your vehicle. It’s all a matter of balancing your budget against what you want equipped on your vehicle.
